Obama with a definitive Twitter advantage from DNC to Sandy

By JD Chang

We thought this was a pretty glaring chart:

This chart shows the “Twitter Gap” which is the gain or loss in Twitter followers each day. This does not show the number of Twitter followers; it is showing the number of Twitter followers added or lost each day.

President Obama sees a larger bump (or more added followers) after the DNC Speech, each of the three debates, and also after the recent events from Hurricane Sandy.

The only time in which Romney out-gained Obama is during the VP debate between Paul Ryan and Joe Biden.

Just another data point in trying to figure out how social media will play into this year’s Presidential Race.

DEFINITIONS:
TW Gap is the number of Twitter Followers gained each day on each person’s Twitter account.
